Packing for Europe in Winter

Packing to travel to Europe in winter can be a challenge, but I’m a packing professional!  I am determined to keep my bags light – at a maximum of 17kg for 2 weeks or three months (allows for 2kg of stuff I bring home).  The clothing that I take must be light weight, can pack down and each piece needs to  contributes to multiple outfit options.

I see my self as a traveller (not a tourist).  My bag is usually very practical with nothing terribly fancy in my kit.  I use a pashmina and  colourful scarf to dress my outfits up.  I leave my jewellery at home so I don’t lose it (my wedding ring and watch are the exceptions).
