Packing for Four Weeks in Italy and Spain

Packing

I’m heading off to Italy and Spain in October (Autumn) for four weeks.  I try to pack the same amount of clothing for every trip whether it is for four weeks or three months.  In winter I add one more jumper and a coat.   As a guide I like to limit myself to three bottoms, six tops, three pair of shoes and underwear.   If I want to add anything else, it will need to go through my strict justification process – it must go with everything, be light weight and take up barely any room in my bag.

I tend to pack blues, greys and blacks.  They mix and match perfectly.  Sometimes though, I get tired of the combination by the fourth week, so this time I’m going to change things up a bit and take some light weight coloured tops to wear over my thinner  jumpers to mix it up a bit. This time I’m not taking my Kathmandu travel pants, quick dry tops or my light weight trekking shoes.  I swapping them for a couple of more stylish things to walk the streets of Rome and Madrid.  I’ve selected the pieces below:
